Barbara came to St. Thomas from Massachusetts with her husband and three daughters. Despite falling in love with the island, they wound up back in the States after a few years, only to return 11 months later. The simplicity of the lifestyle and the genuineness of those who live here -- not to mention the exhilarating beauty of the islands -- drew them back. For good.

Barbara received her Master's in Journalism from Columbia University and worked in radio, television, newspaper and magazines for many years. She then became an administrator in a hospital, a community foundation and in independent schools before joining the team at Sea Glass Properties. Barbara still spends several hours a week as a free-lance journalist, delving into the issues and nuances of life in the Virgin Islands.

It's the ability to be involved in affecting positive change that motivates her work. As a Realtor, that means offering not just guidance, but plenty of patience, flexibility and good humor throughout an important, even life-changing process. She should know! Barbara has lived all over the United States and in Belgium; and she's traveled throughout Europe, as well as parts of Africa and Asia.
