When Sandy isn't working with her husband Alan in their marine services business, Coral Bay Marine, she's busy helping people navigate the real estate market on the small, tropical island of St. John. She loves helping newcomers acclimate to the quaint and simple, yet exhilaratingly beautiful island. Sandy first came here in 1974 from her native Colorado and fell in love with island life and sailing. Then, it was years spent crewing on boats and cruising among the islands, eventually finding herself building a boat in Bequia. She launched the vessel in 1981, sailed back to the VI, and worked for Manfried Dietrick on Hassle Island, as well as at other sail lofts before settling on St. John. She and her husband raised their daughter on St. John, where Sandy enjoys wakeboarding and gardening, as well as sailing and skiing.
