Why Work With Me
After graduating from Florida State University with an International Business Degree in 1986, Cheryl came to St. Croix in the summer of 1987 and fell in love, both with the island and with her future husband, Gary Nelthropp, a Sixth-Generation Crucian. Cheryl moved to the island permanently in June 1988 and has been here ever since. Gary and Cheryl were married in October 1990 and were blessed with twins, Thorn and Chelsea, in February 1997.
As a permanent resident for over 35 years on St. Croix, Cheryl has much knowledge of the island and its people. Gary was a Real Estate Broker when he met Cheryl in 1987. Since then, she has had an interest in real estate and eventually became the Executive Officer of the Virgin Islands Territorial Association of Realtors. Cheryl and Gary have built several homes over the years, both for themselves and for spec homes. Cheryl has held various jobs in management positions over the years, but the most important job of all was raising her twins. Cheryl has been in property management for over 20 years, and after her twins left for college, Cheryl decided to pursue her passion and become a realtor.
