The United States Marine Corps was formed in Tun Tavern, Philadelphia, PA on November 10, 1775. Since that time this Corps of Marines has been defending the United States of America. Today, US Marines celebrate the birth of the Corps.
Today on St Thomas there will be a gathering of Marines at Latitude 18 to celebrate. Latitude 18 is a little joint at the end of a very bumpy road where meals, music, and merriment happen.
We will toast Marines who have defended our country and provided safety and security to our people.
